**The Windows .msi no longer installs a broken app.** On a PC without the Visual C++ runtime, the .msi used to install and then fail to start (`MSVCP140.dll not found`). It now stops first with a window that explains what is missing, shows the download address (you can copy it) and has an "Open the download page" button; nothing opens by itself. The .exe is unchanged and still installs the runtime for you.

**Agent chat.** Messages reach agents that are idle, and delivery is visible. The chat opens on and follows the newest message, and "Load older messages" reaches beyond the latest 50.

**Facts and files.** The Facts page can group pending facts by source file with Confirm all / Reject all per group. Adding a watched folder that overlaps one you already watch now asks first. A read-only duplicate-file report is available. File paths are reported in one spelling across tools, and "Change File Paths" no longer carries the previous vault's files folder forward.

**Tasks.** Recurring tasks no longer duplicate across devices, each task has its own mirror file, deleting a task removes only its own files, and leftovers from the old calendar sync are cleaned up. Task lists and searches report totals and page instead of cutting off silently.

**Device sync.** The sync folder is now an explicit setting, and changing it no longer tells a peer your old files were deleted. Conflicts name the records and fields that differ (names only). A record that a peer holds in a different timestamp spelling is no longer re-applied on every pass. Downloaded files keep the peer's edit time, a download can replace an existing file, and conflict backups are not written for files that already match. A headless `--service` install can pair and sync. The database key is never synced. There is a `get_sync_status` tool for sync health.

**Search and agents.** `search_memory` has a keyword / semantic / hybrid mode; `fetch_document` can read around a search hit; delete tools can dry-run and report what they would remove; list and search tools report totals. Search no longer reads the whole chunk table on every query. ChatGPT desktop (Codex) is in one-click agent connect.

**Extraction and generated files.** The extractors no longer invent junk people and placeholder entities. Generated files are only rewritten when their bytes change, which ends a write-back loop that cloud-synced folders carried to the other machine. A patent-number normalizer exists but is not wired into facts yet.

**Dependencies.** rustls is updated to 0.23.46 (four advisories), and solid-js, seroval and source-map-js to clear npm audit. Three `zip` advisories (about extracting archives to disk, which nothing here does) are allow-listed with the reasoning in `src-tauri/deny.toml`; tracked in #278.

**Known limits.** Windows and macOS installers are not code-signed or notarized: expect a SmartScreen warning on Windows, and on macOS run `xattr -cr "/Applications/Sovereign Drive.app"` if it says the app is damaged. The macOS build is Apple Silicon only. Only the first watched folder (or the one chosen for sync) syncs between devices. Agent names are still self-declared unless you give an agent a token. The device-sync timeout fix (#242) is not in this release.
